Wow, all i have to say is thank god for NETFLIX because if I had actually bought this pile of horse oughie chunks, I would have to kick my own ass. I've watched my own share of B-movie garbage but this was just too bad to watch through to the end. I am fully aware and have seen enough zombie movies to know and understand having an original premise for a zombie movie is a little bit hard to come by, but copying the basic ideas from two other movies and combining them in to one movie just won't cut it in my opinion. First off, the story development was was somewhat choppy. there wasn't enough time for character development so I didn't care about any one enough to root for them. I also had a HUGE problem with the feats of heroism. What I mean to say is that although the heroic feats performed by most characters in these types of movies are pretty unbelievable but have a very small amount of probability in a warped sense of way. I mean you can not split a zombie down the middle from the top of his head al the way down with an auto club steering wheel lock!!!
Also, the special effects were just plain sloppy. It seems like they had enough of a budget and technical ability to make good gore FX, it was just done in a sloppy fashion. I mean I'm just not a fan of digital special effects, but if done properly, they can be effective. Im more of a fan of the Tom Savini old school of horror. i mean the work that he has done on Dawn of the Dead among others is considered ground breaking.
Oh well I guess it's too much to ask for a at least one choice of either good story, original plot, or good special effects. Undead gives you nothing, except probably gas.
